Practice Areas Installation

At Durant Cricket, we constantly strive to craft exceptional cricket spaces, with specialised designs and builds to create cutting-edge cricket practice areas that help players hone their skills.

We create the perfect cricket batting practice area to match your vision, adapting them to slot seamlessly into your training grounds. Our practice facilities give you the room to develop and grow your skills in a focused and dedicated area.

Each cricket practice area we create is unique and can possess a wide array of features to improve their performance and longevity. We implement porous systems to help encourage effective draining and the practice bays. Combined with our hard-wearing specialist surfacing, the pitch becomes weather and training resilient, creating the ideal space for rigorous practice. We finish our bays with a secure and superior netting system that can withstand hours of wear-and-tear.

ECB APPROVED - Non Turf Pitch System

As of November 12th, 2024, our ‘A-Base’ Non-Turf Pitch System has received official approval from the ECB. This versatile system is designed for outdoor use, providing durable surfacing for practice areas, multi-use games areas (MUGAs), and match pitches. The ‘A-Base’ system begins with the installation of Durant Cricket’s specialised underpadding, laid over two meticulously leveled and screeded layers of porous aggregate for optimal stability and drainage. The system is then completed with the addition of our premium Durant-CW tufted surface, creating a high-performance, long-lasting pitch ready for play.

Additional Cricket Practice Area Features

Alongside the basic installation of our training facilities, we also provide additional features to further customise and bolster the quality of your bays. Additional features include training lines or crease lines which are marked using our specialised white surface paint. Our Durant solution is quick-drying and weather-resistant, ensuring that your cricketers practice area stays in top condition no matter the circumstances.

To guarantee safety on your pitches, we can also install security fencing around the perimeter of your cricket facilities to ensure access is more controlled. For protection against the smaller and tricker pests, we sell a range of vermin skirts to keep your practice bays rodent free. These features help to uphold the overall quality of your cricket practice bay area.

Our Practice Bay Installation Process

Excellent Design and Construction

Our projects begin with planning that takes up a significant portion of the project’s timeline. We plan out a conceptual design for the cricket training bays to match your exact needs and begin setting the foundation for a successful facility.

Efficiency in Construction

When we have secured planning permission, we can begin construction work on the project. On average, this phase can last from 1 day up to 6 weeks, depending on the scope and complexity of the planned cricket practice area.

Longevity Ensured

We install a choice of non-turf artificial cricket surfaces, giving you control over your exact vision. The perfect synthetic turf system can last around 20 years, though factors like usage frequency and maintenance can have an effect on this.

Performance Par Excellence

Not only are our non-turf surfaces a durable choice, but they’re also a safe and suitable choice to simulate real turf environments. Each of our pitches is made to strictly follow ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) regulations, using approved materials. To ensure this, every single one of our surfaces is tested for ball rebound, surface hardness and rotational resistance.

Weather-Proof Quality

All components of our cricket batting practice areas are made to resist harsh elements. Featuring secure, 2mm or 3mm options, our knotted, mesh netting can withstand rigorous use and strain. Our synthetic turf surfaces are also made with integrated drainage systems, preventing them from becoming waterlogged.

Why Choose Durant Cricket Practice Bays?
